Our Experience

We have been working to provide the safest work environment possible since the start of the pandemic.

Other Crews

We thank all of the photographers/producers/industry professionals that have been sharing their process.

We have found theirs to be the most comprehensive guidelines and is what we base our approach on.

Travel Arrangements

We can travel anywhere within the mainland United States. Local crew will be utilized as much as is possible.

Every attempt is made to travel by road in a private vehicle. If overnights stay are required we will utilize contactless check-in hotels.

International borders are gradually reopening and we will assess travel arrangements on a case-by-case basis.

Industry Certifications

We require all cast and crew to complete a basic certification.

These resources are designed educate and inform our crew about best safety practices.

(Level A) Certificate

Required for all persons attending

COVID-19 Certification

Required for all persons attending

Infection Control

Required for all production team

PCR Testing

This is our preferred testing.

  • PCR is a diagnostic test
  • PCR tests are used to directly detect the presence of an antigen, rather than the presence of the body’s immune response, or antibodies.

This form of testing is considered to be more accurate and is required by SAG/AFTRA. The tests are more expensive and take longer but new rapid tests are becoming available. Please let us know your preference and we'll make sure we have the best possible testing technology for your production.

Here is an example of a testing schedule.  The PCR tests will be self-administered with the help of a telehealth video appointment.  You then have until 4 pm that day to send the results to the lab.  Results are returned the following day and we can shoot safely the day after that.  No system is perfect but we do our best to keep everyone safe.

Antibody/Antigen Testing

  • Tests for asymptomatic carriers of Covid-19.  Will also detect those who have recovered from Covid-19 and carry antibodies.
  • Performed on set.  15-min results.
  • 87% accuracy
  • If antibodies are detected the person will be asked to seek medical advice and further testing.
  • Test is performed by a trained medical professional

The CDC considers a person to have a fever when he or she has a measured temperature of at least 100.4 °F [38 °C].

Medical questionnaires are stored in accordance to HIPPA Privacy Laws.

Set Medic / Covid Monitor

Trained medical professionals will:

  • Perform temperature checks on site
  • Perform finger prick testing on set
  • Provide safety briefings to all cast and crew before they can enter the set
  • Provide medical questionnaire
  • Monitor the set to ensure PPE is being used and social distancing is adhered to.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Hospital-grade sanitizer
  • 3-ply disposable masks
  • Protective face-shield for those that cannot adhere to 6-ft social distance requirements.
  • Disinfectant Wipes

We will ask all cast and crew to confirm receipt of this equipment at check-in.

Social Distancing

Here's how to set up the lunch tables outside.

The Zone System

Created by SAF/AFTRA to limit the interaction of cast and crew members.

Active shoot areas.

Reduced use of PPE and social distancing while cameras are rolling.

Production is responsible for all persons  in this area.  PPE and social distancing required at all times. Medical checkpoint required.

Production has no control over any areas assigned as Zone C.

Medical checkpoint required.

All crew must:

  • Answer and sign the questionnaire.
  • If testing, all crew must pass the test before being allowed entry.
  • Take a temperature check upon entering Zone B.
